The breakdown

Jolly Time has been poppin corn since 1914. Family-owned, Iowa-born, and still on grocery shelves more than a century later. Fresh Never Gets Old campaign was their first foray back into advertising in decades.

The brief

Right out the gate, Haberman came to us before creative was sold through (props!). This was critical cuz it helps a smaller agency evaluate what’s actually doable before anything gets promised to the client, ensuring clear expectations well before kick-off.

Haberman's campaign was built around a social-first strategy that utilized influencers like The Retirement House (10M followers) as on-camera talent, and TikTok music creator, April Kae who composed a custom score for the campaign called "Papa Corn."

The bet

After aligning on the creative and knowing we were shooting in Los Angeles, we built the crew around our director, Tyler Thomas's creative approach using CR’s national network of collaborators. Building the team specific to the project enabled us to move fast, stay cost effective, all while while not sacrificing production value.

The payoff

The "Fresh Never Gets Old" campaign helped kick-off Haberman's relationship with a new client, and launched Jolly Time's product line into major retail and grocers nationally - on time and on budget. First advertising from the brand in decades, that’s hot.

“When Tyler sent us that mock up video we were hooked! Amazing group that did amazing work. All around greatness!”

— Jeff Berg, Creative Director, Haberman
